How Does The Master Account Sync With The Sub-Accounts?

Once an account is linked to a Master Account, additions and changes made to the Master Account will be reflected on the sub-accounts, provided certain criteria are met. Additions/changes can be made on the Master Account level, as well as the sub-account and agreement levels.

CATEGORIES

  1. Categories added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts unless they already exist on a sub-account (will not duplicate), or the parent category does not exist on a sub-account
  2. Categories edited or archived on a Master Account will edit or archive on the sub-accounts, provided they exist on the sub-account exactly as on the Master Account
  3. Categories added, edited or archived on a sub-account do not affect the Master Account or other sub-accounts
  4. Once a category is edited on a sub-account, it is no longer linked to the corresponding category on the Master Account and will not be affected by changes to that category made on the Master

TERRITORIES AND DISTRIBUTION METHODS

  1. Territories or Distribution Methods added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts unless they already exist on a sub-account (will not duplicate)
  2. Territories or Distribution Methods edited or archived on a Master Account will edit or archive on the subaccounts.. provided they exist on the sub-account exactly as on the Master Account
  3. Territories or Distribution Methods added, edited or archived on a sub-account do not affect the Master Account or other sub-accounts
  4. Once a Territory or Distribution Method is edited on a sub-account, it is no longer linked to the corresponding Territory or Distribution Method on the Master Account

REPORTING RULES

  1. Reporting Rules added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts
  2. Reporting Rules edited or archived on a Master Account will not edit or archive on the sub-accounts
  3. Reporting Rules added, edited or archived on a sub-account will not affect the Master Account or other subaccounts

WORKFLOWS

  1. Workflows added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts
  2. Workflows edited or archived on a Master Account will not edit or archive on the sub-accounts
  3. Workflows added, edited or archived on a sub-account will not affect the Master Account or other sub-accounts

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Payment Instructions added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts unless they already exist on a sub-account (will not duplicate)
  2. Payment Instructions edited on a Master Account will not edit on the sub-accounts
  3. Payment Instructions added or edited on a sub-account will not affect the Master Account or other sub-accounts
  4. SETTINGS (Default settings for Agreements, Invoices, Currencies, Insurance, and Term Sheets)
  5. Settings added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts unless they already exist on a sub-account (will not duplicate)
  6. Settings edited on a Master account will not affect the sub-accounts
  7. Settings added or edited on a sub-account will not affect the Master Account or other sub-accounts

ROLES

  1. Roles added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts unless they already exist on a sub-account (will not duplicate)
  2. Roles edited on a Master account will not affect the sub-accounts
  3. Roles edited on a sub-account will not affect the Master Account or other sub-accounts

USERS

  1. Users added to a Master Account will populate the sub-accounts
  2. Users with access to some but not all accounts and users whose roles differ on accounts, must be set up on each account
